PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention concerne un mécanisme de motion pour machine à écrire présentant un traînard porteur d'une tête d'impression et dans laquelle l'ordre de motion est donné au traînard par deux interposeurs distincts, dont l'un est en po- sition active lorsque l'autre est en position inactive. Un levier commande chaque interposeur pour lc faire coopérer avec des moyens d'entraînement le plaçant en position active. Une pièce pivotante en forme d'étrier présente deux bras, dont l'un constitue le levier commandant un premier interposeur et l'autre est susceptible d'être entraîné par le second interposeur ce dernier étant de façon habituelle commandé par un levier asso- cié à une touche du clavier.
