An automated point of purchase advertising device includes at least one motion sensor or sensing feature, a power management function to manage power usage depending on the sensor on the automated device determining the presence of a person in a vicinity of the device, and a readily programmable and re- programmable operating system. A control circuit connected to the sensor causes the device to display video information, play audio sound, and/or create a light effect. The device also operates in different power modes based at least in part on the determination of the presence of a person by the sensor. The display device is updated through the connection of a memory card or handheld computer and the transfer of video files over the connection.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de publicité de point de vente automatisé comprenant au moins un détecteur de mouvement ou une caractéristique de détection, une fonction de gestion d'alimentation permettant de gérer une utilisation d'alimentation en fonction du détecteur du dispositif automatisé qui détermine la présence d'une personne à proximité du dispositif, et un système d'exploitation facilement programmable et reprogrammable. Un circuit de commande connecté au détecteur amène le dispositif à afficher des informations vidéo, à diffuser un son audio, et/ou à créer un effet lumineux. Le dispositif fonctionne également dans différents modes d'alimentation selon, au moins partiellement, la détermination de la présence d'une personne par le détecteur. Le dispositif d'affichage est mis à jour par la connexion d'une carte mémoire ou d'un ordinateur portable et le transfert de fichiers vidéo sur la connexion.
