A motor cooling system (10) for an electric motor (20) having a rotor (60), mounted on a rotor shaft (62) rotatable about a central axis and a stator (70), comprises a fluid nozzle (100) extending through an aperture disposed in said motor (20) having an inlet (104) oriented to allow a compressed cooling fluid, preferably compressed air, to expand rapidly therefrom and direct said cooling fluid circumferentially around said motor (20) interior. A plurality of exhaust ports (120) are provided to maintain a positive pressure differential between upstream (80) and downstream (90) chambers of said motor (20), thereby enhancing cooling fluid flow through the rotor-stator gap (72).
Dans cette invention, un système (10) de refroidissement de moteur destiné à un moteur électrique (20) comportant un rotor (60), monté sur un arbre (62) de rotor (62) tournant autour d'un axe central et un stator (70), comprend une buse à fluide (100) qui s'étend par une ouverture dans ledit moteur (20) et qui comporte un orifice d'entrée (104) orienté de façon à permettre à un fluide de refroidissement comprimé, de préférence de l'air comprimé, de se propager rapidement et d'orienter ledit fluide de refroidissement en cercle autour de l'intérieur dudit moteur (20). Un groupe de plusieurs orifices d'échappement (120) permettent de maintenir un différentiel de pression positif entre les chambres en amont (80) et en aval (90) dudit moteur (20), améliorant ainsi l'écoulement du flux de refroidissement par l'intervalle rotor-stator (72).
