Disclosed is a motor-driven bogie for a railway vehicle, comprising one or more motors that are mounted on the bogie frame (22). The front and rear reduction gears are arranged between a central longitudinal plane extending between the two front wheels (24) and the two rear wheels (26) and a longitudinal plane extending through the front wheel and the rear wheel located on a same first transverse side of the bogie.
