An operating mechanism for an expandable vehicle slide-out section (12) includes a pair of inner rail members (42), each being slidably supported in an outer rail member (26), secured to the vehicle body. Each of the inner rail members has an outer end (54) attachable to the slide-out section. A power drive arrangement includes a drive shaft (84) operably connected with the inner rail members to synchronize travel of each of the inner rail members. The power drive arrangement includes a conveniently accessible releasable brake for clamping and releasing the drive shaft. A manual override system (124) is adjustably mounted on the drive shaft to extend and retract the slide-out section when the brake is released, should the power drive arrangement become inoperable.
L'invention concerne un mécanisme de fonctionnement destiné à une section coulissante (12) d'un véhicule déployable, comportant deux éléments de rail intérieurs (42), chacun étant maintenu coulissant dans un élément de rail extérieur (26) fixé au corps du véhicule. Chacun des éléments de rail intérieurs est doté d'une extrémité extérieure (54) susceptible d'être fixée à la section coulissante. Une configuration d'entraînement par moteur comporte un arbre d'entraînement (84) connecté de manière fonctionnelle aux éléments de rail intérieurs afin de synchroniser la course de chacun des éléments de rail intérieur. La configuration d'entraînement par moteur comporte un frein libérable aisément accessible servant à serrer et à relâcher l'arbre d'entraînement. Un système manuel de correction d'avance (124) est monté de façon ajustable sur l'arbre d'entraînement afin de déployer et de rétracter la section coulissante lorsque le frein est relâché, au cas où la configuration d'entraînement par moteur n'est pas exploitable.
