Abstract of the Disclosure A motor operator connecting member for padmount switchgear is provided which includes a connector and a key shiftably mounted thereon. The motor operator connecting member is adapted for selectively operatively coupling or decoupling a linear actuator and a shaft operatively connected to the switch blade of the switchgear for moving the switch blade in and out of contact with the switch contacts. The key is manually manipulable between a first position coupling the connecting member and the shaft and a second position effectively decoupling the connecting member from the shaft whereby the shaft and connecting member are free to pivot relative to one another.
