ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A motor safety switch which eliminates much of the costs of conventional wiring, material and labor, the motor safety switch being formed of a plurality of assembled independent components; a first of the components including a switch unit having a contact system, a thermal tripper and a magnetic tripper; a second of the components being an electromagnetic drive unit; a third of the components being a modular contact unit; and the independent components are maintained by mechanical connectors in selected assembled relationship to include either all of the aforementioned independent components or selective subassemblies thereof.
