A motor vehicle door comprises a door inside part (19), a door outside part (20) and a supporting panel (3) which is connected in a tight-fitting manner to the door inside part (19). In order to surpass known constructions with regard to safety, protection of the occupants, weight and costs: a) the supporting panel (3) is a structural part consisting of a reinforced plastic, extends essentially over the surface of the door and has an edge (30, 31, 32, 33) all the way around, b) a first frame plate (4) and a second frame plate (5) are connected to the edge of the supporting panel (3), said frame plates being folded profiles which extend along the vertical parts of the edge, the first limb (42, 55) being connected to the edge (30, 31) of the supporting panel (3), c) the door inside part (19) is a shell consisting of plastic with fitting surfaces (49, 83) to which the second limbs (43, 56) of the frame plates (4, 5) and the supporting panel (3) are fastened, and the door inside part (19) protrudes outward over the supporting panel (3) and forms a connecting flange (50, 63), d) the door outside part (20) is a skin which is fastened to the connecting flange (50, 63) by means of positive fastening means (59).

L'invention concerne une porte de véhicule automobile comprenant une partie intérieure (19), une partie extérieure (20) et une plaque support (3) assemblée serrée avec la partie intérieure (19), et a pour but de fournir une meilleure solution eu égard aux critères sécurité, protection des passagers, poids et coût par rapport aux constructions connues. En conséquence, l'invention est caractérisée en ce que a) la plaque support (3) est constituée par un élément de structure en matière plastique renforcée s'étendant sensiblement sur la surface de la porte et entouré d'un bord (30, 31, 32, 33), b) une première et une seconde tôles de châssis (4, 5) sont assemblées avec le bord de la plaque support (3) et forment des profilés repliés s'étendant le long des parties verticales du bord, et la première branche (42, 55) est assemblée avec le bord (30, 31) de la plaque support (3), c) la partie intérieure de la porte (19) forme une coque en matière plastique munie de surfaces d'ajustage (49, 83) sur lesquelles sont fixées les deux branches (43, 56) des tôles de châssis (4, 5) et la plaque support (3), et la partie intérieure (19) est en saillie, par rapport à la plaque support (3), vers l'extérieur et forme une bride de raccordement (50, 63), et d) la partie extérieure de la porte (20) constitue une enveloppe fixée à la bride de raccordement (50, 63) par l'intermédiaire de moyens de fixation à liaison de forme.
