The invention relates to a mold for the continuous casting of preliminary sections, in particular double T-shaped preliminary sections, such as beam blank sections or similar sections, wherein all the interior walls (7a to 7l) of the mold in the mold passage (8) have a tapered course (9 to 12) running linearly from top to bottom, said tapered course being dimensioned depending on the degree of shrinkage of the cast strand and produced by machining the interior walls (7a to 7I). In this manner, it is possible to optimally adjust the diameter of the mold to the shrinkage process of the cast strand in the region of the mold passage, even for large-sized sections.
L'invention concerne une lingotière pour la coulée continue d'ébauches de profilés, en particulier d'ébauches de profilés en double T, telles que des ébauches de poutres ou analogues. Selon l'invention, toutes les parois internes (7a à 7l) de la lingotière dans son ouverture de passage (8) présentent une conicité (9 à 12) s'étendant linéairement du haut vers le bas, laquelle conicité est mesurée en fonction du taux de retrait de la barre de coulée continue et est réalisée par usinage des parois internes (7a à 7I) par enlèvement de copeaux. Ainsi, il est possible d'adapter de manière optimale la section transversale de la lingotière au retrait de la barre de coulée continue dans la zone de l'ouverture de passage de la lingotière, même dans le cas de profilés de grande dimension.
