This invention relates to moulded polyethylene terephthalate articles and to a process for making them. In one of its aspects the invention relates to a process in which colour or additive is applied to a moulded polyethylene terephthalate article in a post-moulding step and to articles produced by such a process, in particular to a process for manufacturing a coloured polyethylene terephthalate container or container preform comprising providing a container or container preform of a polyethylene terephthalate, providing a colouration zone containing as a solution or dispersion in a liquid medium one or more colourants having a chemical affinity for polyethylene terephthalate of the container or container preform, and in the colouration zone contacting the container or container preform with the one or more colourants in the liquid medium for a period of time and under conditions effective to cause at least a portion of the one or more colourants to migrate from the liquid medium and bind to the container or container preform.
L'invention concerne des articles en polyéthylène téréphthalate moulés et un procédé de production de ces derniers. Selon un aspect, l'invention concerne un procédé dans lequel une couleur ou un additif est appliqué sur un article en polyéthylène téréphthalate moulé dans une étape de post-traitement, et des articles obtenus au moyen dudit procédé. L'invention concerne en particulier un procédé de production d'un récipient ou d'une préforme de récipient en polyéthylène téréphthalate moulé qui consiste: à utiliser un récipient ou une préforme de récipient en polyéthylène téréphthalate moulé; à utiliser une zone de coloration qui contient en tant que solution ou dispersion dans un milieu liquide un ou plusieurs colorants présentant une affinité chimique avec le polyéthylène téréphthalate du récipient ou de la préforme de récipient; et, dans la zone de coloration, à mettre en contact le récipient ou la préforme de récipient avec le ou les colorants dans le milieu liquide pendant une certaine durée et dans des conditions efficaces pour amener au moins une partie du ou des colorants à migrer dudit milieu liquide et à se lier au récipient ou à la préforme de récipient.
