A mounting apparatus for attaching a hand tool to a display packaging element generally includes a hanger and a bushing. The hand tool has a pair of relatively movable jaws in the nature of pliers. The hanger includes a hub and flexible arms extending outwardly from the hub to distal ends. Each distal end attaches to a separate jaw of the tool. The bushing is mounted to the hub portion so as to secure the apparatus to the display packaging element.
