ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A mounting for a monorail car to run on a track supported by pylons. The mounting comprises a wheel-carrying member shaped to extend around the tracks. At least one drive wheel is provided on the member to contact the upper surface of the track. A motor drives the drive wheel. At least one stabilizer wheel contacts the lower surface of the track. There is a trunnion mounting for the stabilizer wheel. The trunnion mounting comprises an axle mounted on the wheel-carrying assembly, and carrying the stabilizer wheel. There are journals at each end of said axle and housings attached to the car into which said journals project to permit the track to carry said car. The mounting is simple in structure but of high stability and is easy to maintain.
