ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A rotary dimmer switch mounting structure for a floor lamp, comprising two tubes connected by a pipe connector and fastened in a floor to support a lamp, and a rotary dimmer switch received inside said pipe connector and said tubes and controlled by a revolving shaft to regulate the intensity of light produced by said lamp, wherein said pipe connector has an elongated notch longitudinally extending from either end edge thereof for receiving said revolving shaft and therefore, the caliber of said tubes can be smaller than the total height of the revolving shaft.
