Abstract of the Disclosure An engine mounting system for mounting a jet engine on an aircraft utilizes variable connections between the engine casing and a portion of the airframe or other strongpoint in order to permit compensatory force application against the engine in rder to limit its flexing under changing thrust conditions. One embodiment comprises the use of variable length fluid thrust struts of piston and cylinder arrangement, the loading of which may be tied to engine output.
