A sealing system for a cylindrical liquid floating roof storage tank (19) includes a primary seal (18) and a secondary seal (30) mounted on a rim (16) extending upwardly from a floating roof (12). The system for mounting the seals to the floating roof (12) includes a bolt (36), a retainer (43) for securing the primary seal (18) to the rim (16), and a nut (48) for securing the secondary seal (30) to the rim, wherein installation or removal of the secondary seal (30) does not comprise the primary seal (18) connection.
