A mouth piece unit (6) of a semi-closed type breathing device (1) comprises a breathing air flow-through chamber (61), a gas supply port (71) for supplying to the breathing air flow-through chamber a new breathing gas at a certain flow rate which is supplied from a breathing gas cylinder, a mouth piece (62) mounted in an external opening (65), manual operation members (75, 76) held at an initial position by virtue of elastic force and adapted to be moved against the elastic force to a first operating position, an external opening closing valve (101) adapted to interlock with the movement of the manual operation members to the first operating position so as to open the external opening (65), a first open/close lever (73) for opening/closing a gas supply port (71) by interlocking with open/close of the external opening closing valve (101), and a latch lever (105) adapted to be brought into engagement with the external opening closing valve (101) which is in an open state and maintain the engaged state as long as the latch lever is held in the mouth of a diver to thereby hold the external opening closing valve (101) in the open state. When the latch lever (105) is released from the mouth, the external opening/closing valve (101) and gas supply port (71) are automatically closed.

Lorsque ce levier de verrouillage (105) quitte la bouche du plongeur, la soupape extérieure d'ouverture/fermeture (101) et l'orifice d'amenée d'air (71) se ferment automatiquement.
