By providing a rotatable wheel (27) mounted in cooperating engagement with a longitudinally movable arm or slide member (28), an easily employed, dependable, and reliable movable comb control system (21) is achieved, enabling users to controllably move the comb member (22) on a hair trimmer (20) any desired distance. In the present invention, comb slots (33, 34) are formed in the wheel (27) with the slots (33, 34) positioned for controlled engagement with cam pins (42, 43) formed on the movable arm or slider (28). By employing this construction, rotational movement of the wheel (27) causes controlled movement of the cam pins (42, 43) which results in the desired longitudinal movement of the arm/slider (28). By securing the elongated arm/slider (28) to the comb element (22), either directly or through an interconnecting plate (26), the longitudinal movement of the arm/slider (28) causes the comb element (22) to move simultaneously therewith.

Le fait de fixer ledit bras/~l~ment coulissant allong~ (28) au peigne (22), directement ou via une plaque d'interconnexion (26), entra¹ne le d~placement simultan~ dudit bras/~l~ment coulissant (28) et du peigne.
