A movable platform apparatus for use in accessing a large vehicle comprises a vertically extensive base and a painter-receiving platform operatively mounted in vertically movable relation on the vertically extensive base for movement between a plurality of vertical positions. There are mounting members for operatively mounting the painter-receiving platform in vertically movable relation on the vertically extensive base. There is also a hydraulically actuated cylinder for moving the painter-receiving platform between the plurality of vertical positions, and a controller for controlling the hydraulically actuated cylinder.
