[PROBLEMS] To provide a movement detection device, a movement detection method, a processing module for executing a computer-executable program movement detection processing for executing a movement detection method, and an electric device containing the movement detection device. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The movement detection device (10) includes: an acceleration sensor (12) for detecting acceleration generated by movement of an electric device; a movement detection unit (18) having a statistic processing unit for calculating an average value of the data from the acceleration sensor (12), calculating a difference between the last value obtained among the data and the average value, and calculating a pseudo-variance value of the data from the obtained difference; a threshold value comparison unit (30) for comparing the pseudo-variance value calculated by the movement detection unit (18) to a movement threshold value and generating a signal value in response to the judgment when the movement threshold value is exceeded; a first buffer memory (32) for successively storing the signal value generated by the threshold value comparison unit (30) at a predetermined interval; and a signal generation unit (20) having means for accumulating the values in the firstbuffer memory (32). Thus, the acceleration is appropriately linked to the movement.
