We plan to make devices that play 1) DVD's and at the 2.) same time can order from a huge database/library of movies library (eg. cable or ADSL or T1), except the device cannot copy the movies ordered on demand and the movies library does not have an output except to the television and the televisions output must be directed back of the movies on demand/DVD console that will verify the through feedback that the movie library is not being copied, only when the feedback is verified that there is no alternate device (such as a VCR or CD Player) recording the movie library will the work (perhaps de-scramble the signal). Given the services already provided above by our device we might also (or as an optional add on) allow the Users to order movies that are paid for over the cable that can be recorded/copies/burned into DVD's, VCR or CD's We want to patent a unique television jack that inputs into the television manufacturers or our own company can install into televisions that will only fit into our (also want to patent) console/module (with Global Positioning Satellite chip - that can't be removed without tearing apart the entire circuit board and triggering off a cellular alert signalling), to decode video/audio from the cable company's movie database/library to the television. Under contract to licensee's, this special terminal for televisions is not be given to VCR/DVD/CD manufacturers to avoid pirating. Basically the novelty of this idea is that in order to avoid Users from copying movies library, the device monopolizes all the (input ?)/output plugs We can have an adaptor (cable/input) (or module) that detects if the output from our device is plugged directly into the television or plugged into a VCR or CD's and if the VCR or CD is recording or burning (what we want to avoid). Or perhaps a lock and key tamper proof with alarm signal back to the cable provider that tells the cable company when the adaptor/module on the input of the television from the output from the movies library is directly plugged into the television or into a secondary recording/burning device - which we are trying to avoid. Our goal is to plug the output from our movies library device strictly into the television input and the television only. The lock and key adaptor with alarm to cable company's monitoring centre can be installed by a tech support worker when the movies demand device is purchased and set up The reason we have the DVD as well in the device is so the Users can still order DVD movies but can't plug in their DVD wiring in such a way so as to copy the Movies Library (perhaps one day when technology allows and prices are worth it we could offer the movies on demand database/library on the internet, a large movies database website that does not down load any of the movies but by sticking to streaming video, the hope is that the Users cannot copy the movies) Furthermore the device also has an video/audio input that outputs directly to the television, which allowing other devices (such VCR, CD's) to play their material strictly by sharing our device's input in the television. Another way to avoid recording/burning our movies on library is to clamp tighten the cord end of the cable tip that is on to the feed input plug of the television. The clamp tightens around the threads of the input plug on the television and if the seal is broken alerts the cable company The clamp could also be a mini hand cuffs that tightens on to the back/inner area of the threads of the television's input plug which can be tightened and locked and the cable company alerted if it is tampered with. Another way is to have and inner nut that is magnetic and an outer nut that engulfs the entire inner nut. In order to remove/undo/get at the inner nut you have to undo the outer nut first, the outer nut is also magnetic and when the magnets come apart an alarm is set off at the Cable company's office. Another way is to have an outer guard that covers the plug all the way to the end of the input television plug screwing on the outer threads of the inner plug, to prevent (this option can be combined with the above security measures) people from cutting of the entire television jack/plug. We could also create a system where each device identifies its self, eg. mathematical code, bar code/household password that only the cable company knows, so pirates can't tamper with the device. And duplicate devices can be recognized (possibly with the help of Artificial Intelligence). Again a tech worker could install, and remove at the behest of customers. When the device is prepared for the customer, the device could be coded with the address or combination bar code or serial code of the house hold and whether it is the first, second... device in that household, with each device accounted for, no pirated devices can use our system. Or a tech worker could come in and install an entirely new input plug on the television that will also alert the Cable Company if the locking mechanism is tampered with. We could organize the movies by genre, alphabetical order and date released or popularity or key word or Boolean (interests) search we could also segment the price charged by date released and popularity. We could also sort/access movies by main actors/actresses and producers/directors or film company, and by critiques/ratings awards (and nominations). We could also provide ratings of the movies, and summary of the story without giving away the cliff hangers and the twist and turns or the plot. We could also real time feed our movies to mobile e - televisions or mobile computing with portable screens (possibly combined with email and text messaging and cellular phone, PDA's, paging or optional combinations), where Users and choose the movie from our database via wireless (that don't record the movies to avoid pirating) real time, as with the other devices there is the option to pause. Furthermore we could allow the User the option to pause and (possibly marked on our delivery centre the place where the User left off then start again where the User left off. We could also use the above devices as the medium for interacting with our Artificial Intelligence or even combine them. We could also live feed the movies to all computers (GV; Ch 1% - computers) that viewable but not copying/recordable/burnable, and does not download the any of the movie material, perhaps possibility of downloading and copying/recording/burning the teaser clip. We could use a micro chip (unit) (patented) that is installed into the computer hardware and even possibly the software that descrambles the signal using a mathematical code that can be changed possibly via internet (call centre) update or by Tech support worker coming to update the micro chip (unit) or software specifically our own viewing software that can't copy/record/or burn; should pirates try to copy (or tamper) with the micro chip or try desramble the code. Furthermore the micro chip (unit) could be housed in a case that opens (hinge on the back) and flip open in the front (or sliding lid), there could be a magnets on both top and bottom of the opening side that when opened, alerts the cable company. Or the wire that inputs into the micro chip (unit) could as above have an inner threaded clamp, and on top of the inner is an outer casing. In order to undo the wire you would need to undo the outer casing first. The inner threaded clamp and outer casing would be magnetic, if the outer casing is removed the cable company would be alerted. Again this plug/locking mechanism would be installed by a tech support going to the house. The plug/locking mechanism also could be located inside the microchip (unit) casing to make it double tamper proof. Furthermore if the microchip (unit) is opened up before it is installed to security feedback via the cable; an alarm will go off via single purpose cellular to the cable company's security. One way to serve the computer customers better, since there is no memory download, we could the let the customer after paying for the movies, restart the movie say 5 to 10 times or choose to
