A MOVING OBJECT DETECTING APPARATUS ABSTRACT A moving object detecting apparatus of the present invention includes a detecting means comprising a pair of Hall elements (magnetic/electric conversion elements), a detecting element having a process circuit, a magnet for providing magnetic field to the Hall elements, and a yoke. At least one of the yoke, the magnet or the Hall elements is movably provided therein so as to adjust detecting sensitivity of the detecting element. therefore, even though there are some variances existing in a magnetic characteristic in the detecting means, the detecting sensitivity of the detecting element can be adjusted to an optimum level by observing a detecting signal outputted from the process circuit.
