MP-T II Machines are alternating current, two, three, or four or more phase machines of the multipolar type, i.e. machines whose torque is produced in a cylindrical current tube through axially oriented current flow in a plurality of turns between pairs of parallel permanent magnet poles attached to cylindrical concentric magnet tubes. Unlike MP-T machines, MP-T II machines use flat permanent magnets and may contain cooling cuffs as needed.

Les machines MP-T II sont des machines à deux, trois ou quatre phases voire plus, de type multipolaire, alimentées par courant alternatif, c'est-à-dire des machines dont le couple est produit dans un tube de courant cylindrique, par circulation de courant axiale dans plusieurs spires, entre des paires de pôles d'aimants permanents parallèles fixées à des tubes d'aimants cylindriques concentriques. A la différence des machines MP-T, les machines MP-T II exploitent des aimants permanents plats et peuvent contenir au besoin des manchons de refroidissement.
