MRI-Surgical systems include: (a) at least one MRI-compatible surgical tool; (b) a circuit adapted to communicate with an MRI scanner; and (c) at least one display in communication with the circuit. The circuit electronically recognizes predefined physical characteristics of the at least one tool to automatically segment MR image data provided by the MRI scanner whereby the at least one tool constitutes a point of interface with the system. The circuit is configured to provide a User Interface that defines workflow progression for an MRI-guided surgical procedure and allows a user to select steps in the workflow, and wherein the circuit is configured to generate multi-dimensional visualizations using the predefined data of the at least one tool and data from MRI images of the patient in substantially real time during the surgical procedure.
L'invention porte sur des systèmes chirurgicaux par IRM qui comprennent : (a) au moins un outil chirurgical compatible avec l'IRM; (b) un circuit apte à communiquer avec un scanneur IRM; et (c) au moins un dispositif d'affichage en communication avec le circuit. Le circuit reconnaît de manière électronique des caractéristiques physiques prédéfinies du ou des outils pour segmenter automatiquement des données d'images par résonance magnétique fournies par le scanneur IRM, ce par quoi le ou les outils constituent un point d'interface avec le système. Le circuit est configuré pour fournir une interface d'utilisateur qui définit une progression de déroulement des opérations d'une intervention chirurgicale guidée par IRM et permet à un utilisateur de sélectionner des étapes du déroulement des opérations, le circuit étant configuré pour générer des visualisations multidimensionnelles par utilisation des données prédéfinies du ou des outils et des données des images d'IRM du patient de manière sensiblement en temps réel pendant l'intervention chirurgicale.
