The present method and apparatus comprises a communication element comprising a MAC layer that is configured for wireless communication within a sector, wherein said communication element comprises a transmitter, a receiver operably connected to the transmitter, a processor operably connected to the transmitter and the receiver, and memory operably connected to the processor, wherein the communication element is adapted to police data flow, whereby a peak data outflow constraint is applied for each flow across all assigned carriers, select a carrier from a plurality of the assigned carriers for the data flow, and control flow access, whereby a potential allowed transmission power for the data flow on the carrier is determined.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil comprenant un élément de communication pourvu d'une couche de commande d'accès au support (MAC) configurée pour une communication sans fil à l'intérieur d'un secteur, cet élément de communication comprenant un émetteur, un récepteur connecté fonctionnel à l'émetteur, un processeur connecté fonctionnel à l'émetteur et au récepteur, et une mémoire connectée fonctionnelle au processeur. L'élément de communication est conçu pour contrôler des flux de données, une contrainte de flux sortant de données de crête étant appliquée pour chaque flux sur toutes les porteuses attribuées; sélectionner une porteuse parmi la pluralité des porteuses attribuées pour le flux de données; et commander l'accès du flux, ce qui permet de déterminer une puissance de transmission autorisée de potentiel pour le flux de données sur la porteuse.
