A multi-clip device for hemostasis includes an introducing tube (outer sheath) insertable into a body cavity. An operating wire is disposed within the introducing tube and is advanceable and retractable within the introducing tube. A plurality of detachable clips are arranged in a serial fashion within the introducing tube. Each clip has an engagement portion at the proximal end thereof and a plurality of arms extending towards the distal end thereof. The distal end of the operating wire engages the engagement portion of the proximal most clip, and the arms of the proximal most clip engage the engagement portion of the adjacent distally located clip. An expandable collar is slidably disposed about the arms of the clip and is configured such that when the collar is moved distally over the arms it closes and holds them in a closed position. The expandable collar has an expanding portion that is engaged by the distal end of t introducing tube so that the introducing tube can be used to advance the collar distally relative to the clip.
L'invention concerne un dispositif multi-agrafe pour une hémostase qui incorpore un tube d'introduction (gaine extérieure) pouvant être inséré dans une cavité corporelle. Selon l'invention, un fil de manoeuvre est disposé à l'intérieur du tube d'introduction et peut être avancé et rétracté à l'intérieur du tube d'introduction. Une pluralité d'agrafes détachables sont disposées en rangées à l'intérieur du tube d'introduction. Chaque agrafe possède une partie de mise en prise à son extrémité proximale et une pluralité de bras s'étendant vers son extrémité distale. L'extrémité distale du fil de manoeuvre se met en prise avec la portion de mise en prise de l'agrafe la plus proximale, et les bras de l'agrafe la plus proximale se mettent en prise avec la portion de mise en prise de l'agrafe située distalement adjacente. Un collier extensible est monté coulissant autour des bras de l'agrafe et est configuré de sorte que, lorsque le collier est déplacé distalement sur les bras, il se referme et les maintient dans une position fermée. Le collier extensible est muni d'une partie qui s'allonge mise en prise par l'extrémité distale du tube d'introduction de sorte que le tube d'introduction peut être utilisé pour faire avancer le collier distalement par rapport à l'agrafe.
