A multiple position, reclining and stretching chair includes a base assembly having side walls with corral openings into which the ends of an axle extend. The base may alternatively support a spring member to which the axle is attached. The axle is rotatably secured to a lumbar platform that is a part of a multi-panel body support platform assembly. The body support platform assembly is positioned above an arcuate, adjustable, lockable, roller support assembly that pivots forward and rearward about a pivot member that that is substantially attached to the base assembly. Also disclosed is an embodiment wherein the arcuate roller assembly rolls back and forth about the surface of a horizontal cross support member of the base assembly.

L?invention concerne un fauteuil étirable et inclinable, à plusieurs positions, comprenant une base avec des parois latérales où sont ménagées des ouvertures dans lesquelles se prolongent les extrémités d'un essieu. La base peut aussi supporter un ressort auquel est fixé l'essieu. L'essieu est rotatif et fixé à une plate-forme lombaire faisant partie d'une plate-forme de support du corps comportant plusieurs panneaux. La plate-forme de support du corps est placée au-dessus d'un support à rouleaux arqué, ajustable et verrouillable qui pivote vers l'avant et vers l'arrière autour d'un pivot fixé en grande partie à la base. Une variante de l'invention prévoit un bloc arqué à rouleaux qui roule d'avant en arrière par rapport à la surface d'un élément d'appui horizontal en croix de la base.
