A syringe driver device is able to effect the controlled, parenteral infusion of a medical fluid using an available disposable syringe. The driver device includes a frame (12) having a movable carriage (14), which houses a force applying element mounted thereto. A disposable syringe (16) mounts upon the frame and a lengthy micro-bore tubing (18) attaches to the outlet tip (22) of the syringe. As a force is applied to the syringe plunger (24), fluid is expelled from the syringe, but its flow rate is dependent upon the diameter of the micro-bore tubing. The driver device enables the delivery of multiple, sequential doses of fluid.

Un dispositif d'actionnement d'une seringue permet une injection parentérale contrôlée d'un fluide médical, en utilisant une seringue à usage unique existante. Le dispositif d'actionnement comprend un cadre (12) ayant un chariot mobile (14) pourvu d'un élément capable d'appliquer une force. Une seringue à usage unique (16) vient se placer sur le cadre et un segment assez long d'un tube à micro-passage (18) vient se fixer à l'extrémité de sortie (22) de la seringue. L'application d'une force sur le piston (24) de la seringue expulse le fluide de la seringue. Le débit du fluide dépend du diamètre du micro-passage du tube. Le dispositif d'actionnement permet d'administrer plusieurs doses successives.
