A multi-functional remote control system for controlling a vehicle control module (5). The system has a multi-functional remote control device (1) for transmitting RF control signals to the vehicle control module (5); a remote starter module (2) integrated in the multi-functional control device (1) for controlling multiple control commands to enable application functions in the vehicle control module (5); a data communication port (3) integrated in the remote starter module (2) for transmitting the multiple control commands in the remote starter module (2); and a data processing module with a RF activated system (4) connected to the data communication port (3) for receiving and processing the multiple control commands and for transmitting the multiple RF control signals to the vehicle control module (5).
