Abstract of the Disclosure A ski has a running surface with longitudinal profilings whereby the longitudinal profilings on different portions have different guiding effects. Part of the running surface which lies behind the tip portion is divided into three portions. The intensity of the guiding effect is greater in the rearward portion than the intensity of the guiding effect in the forward portion. The guiding effect of the running surface has its smallest intensity in the mid-portion, which can have no longitudinal profilings. A bigger number of longitudinal guiding grooves are inserted in the rear- ward portion than in the forward portion.
