ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is a multi-layer structure polymer composition and method of making same. The composition has an innermost layer (A), an elastomeric polymer layer (B), and outermost layer (C), and at least one intermediate layer (D). The layer (A) has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of at least 10°C. constitutes 5 - 35% by weight of the total polymer composition and consists of 51 to 100 parts by weight of an aromatic vinyl monomer, 0 to 49 parts by weight of a monomer having a copolymerizable double bond, 0 to 10 parts by weight of a polyfunctional monomer, and 0.1 to 5 parts by weight of a graft cross-linking agent. The layer (B) has a (Tg) of up to and including 0°C, constitutes 5 - 55% by weight of the total polymer composition, and consists of 60 to 100 parts by weight of a diene monomer, 0 to 40 parts by weight of a monomer having a copolymerizable double bond, 0 to 10 parts by weight of a polyfunctional monomer, and 0 to 5 parts by weight of a graft linking agent. The layer (C) has a (Tg) of at least 50°C, constitutes 10 - 70% by weight of the total polymer composition, and consists of the polymerizate of 51 to 100 parts by weight of an aromatic vinyl monomer, and 0 to 49 parts by weight of a monomer having a copolymerizable double bond. The intermediate layer (D) constitutes 5 - 45% by weight of the total composition and consists of 1 to 99 parts by weight of an aromatic vinyl monomer, 99 to 1 parts by weight of a diene monomer, 0 to 10 parts by weight of a polyfunctional monomer, and 0 to 5 parts by weight of a graft-linking agent, the ratio of styrene or a styrene derivative/diene monomer gradually increasing from layer (D) toward layer (A) and/or toward layer (C). The polymer composition has good transparency, high gloss characteristics and which is not stress whitened by bending.
