ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE A chewing gum composition comprising two or more compositions at least two of which have a different rate of release of flavoring agent than the other composition. The differential flavor release rate is achieved by utilizing at least one first low base content chewing gum composition and at least one second high base content chewing gum composition, the first composition having a different and faster release rate of flavoring agent than the second composition. The first composition can comprise a composition having about 14 to 18% by weight of gum base while the second composition comprises at least 22% by weight of gum base.
