A B S T R A C T A multi-pin contact bar connectable to a multi-conductor ribbon cable, the contact bar holding two rows of sheet metal contact posts with dual contact blades which are manufactured as a continuous sheet metal segment strip with doubled seg- ment halves forming the contact posts, the latter remaining attached to a carrier strip until broken away, following si- multaneous insertion of a set of contact posts into a contact post housing. The contact blades of the two rows of contact posts are offset from their contact pins in opposite direc- tions, for connection to alternate conductor strands, clamp- ing members with beds of conductor positioning grooves and guide slits holding the strands for snap-action attachment to the housing and simultaneous electrical connection of the con- tact posts to the conductor strands.
