A multi-ply glove or mitt construction which includes an insulated outer shell and a removable liner, with the shell and liner being designed for separate use or to be worn in combination. The multi-layer outer shell includes an outer water repellant layer, an inner heat insulating layer, a vapour barrier located between said outer water repellant layer and said inner heat insulating layer, and a moisture absorbing layer formed on the inner surface of the heat insulating layer. The glove construction also includes a functional curve pattern for maximum comfort and fit.
