The invention relates to a multi-ply tissue comprising at least two plies, the tissue having a surface area in one plane, and a thickness orthogonal to the plane, wherein the thickness is at caliper of at least 0.35 mm, and wherein the tissue has an unembossed wiping surface over a major part of the surface area of the tissue, and wherein the multi-ply tissue has an average basis weight of at least 40 g/m2 and has a wet burst strength of at least 150g; and to a process for making the multi- ply tissue.

La présente invention concerne un papier de soie multicouches comprenant au moins deux couches, le papier de soie comportant une zone de surface dans un plan et une épaisseur orthogonale au plan, ladite épaisseur étant d'une épaisseur normalisée au moins égale à 0,35 mm, et ledit papier de soie ayant une surface d'essuyage non gaufrée s'étendant sur une majeure partie de la zone de surface du papier de soie. Le poids à la rame moyen du papier de soie multicouches est au moins égal à 40g/m<2> et sa résistance à l'éclatement à l'état humide est au moins égale à 150g. On décrit également un procédé de production de ce papier de soie multicouches.
