ABSTRACT A multi-position, adjustable apparatus is provided for supporting shelving from an elevated structure. The apparatus includes two elongate suspension assemblies for being hung from the elevated structure. Each suspension assembly has 1) a hanger for being mounted to the elevated structure in one of at least two positions, 2) first and second suspension members arranged in telescoping relationship for each being connected to a hanger, and 3) retaining means for retaining the first and second suspension members together at a selected overall length. An adjustable length support assembly is provided for being connected at each end to the two suspension assemblies.
