ABSTRACT During the use of a roller paint tray, positioning of the paint tray is restricted to the horizontal le- vel. In this invention the roller paint tray is en- closed, thereby allowing the tray to contain paint while it is in a vertical or inclined position. This refinement allows the roller paint tray to hang from an erected ladder, stand inclined on a floor, hang vertically, or lay in the traditional position. SPECIFICATION This invention relates to a manually operable paint tray used for applying paint on a paint roller. It is common during the use of roller paint trays that the trays are positioned horizontally. This single position restriction is a direct consequence of the open tray design, and limits the use of roller paint trays to horizontal platforms such as a step ladder or a floor. Threfore, the horizontal placement criteria practically makes it impossible for a per- son to paint the exterior of house from an inclined ladder, while having convenient acces to a roller paint tray. This invention overcomes the above disadvanteges by enclosing the bottom section of the tray. This enclosement allows the tray to be used without spilling any paint while it is hanging from a ladder step. -1-
