Multi-purpose solutions for contact lens care provide substantial lens wearer/user comfort and/or acceptability. Such solutions include an aqueous liquid medium; an antimicrobial component, preferably a biguanide polymer present in an amount of less than about 5 ppm; a surfactant component, preferably a poly(oxyethylene)-poly(oxypropylene) block copolymer surfactant, in an effective amount; a phosphate buffer component in an effective amount; a viscosity inducing component, preferably selected from cellulosic derivatives, in an effective amount; and a tonicity component in an effective amount. Such solutions have substantial performance, comfort and acceptability benefits, which, ultimately, lead to ocular health advantages and avoidance of problems caused by contact lens wear.
L'invention concerne des solutions multi-usage destinées au nettoyage des lentilles de contact, lesquelles solutions se caractérisent par le bon confort et la bonne acceptabilité qu'elles offrent à leur utilisateur. De telles solutions renferment un milieu liquide aqueux; un composant antimicrobien, de préférence, un polymère biguanide présent à raison de moins de 5 ppm environ; un composant tensio-actif, de préférence un tensio-actif copolymère séquencé poly(oxyéthylène)-poly(oxypropylène), en quantité suffisante; un tampon phosphaté en quantité suffisante; un composant induisant une viscosité issu, de préférence, de dérivés cellulosiques, en quantité suffisante; et un composant de tonicité en quantité suffisante. De telles solutions sont particulièrement avantageuses en termes de performances, de confort et d'acceptabilité, ce qui permet enfin d'obtenir des avantages en matière de bien-être oculaire et d'éviter les problèmes associés au port de lentilles de contact.
