An instrument for performing various drawings and measurement functions is disclosed. The instrument comprises a rectangular plate, an elongated plate mounted on the rectangular plate and a compass. The rectangular plate has marking of length along the longer and shorter edges, a protractor is printed or etched onto the surface of the rectangular plate and a semi-circular recess formed at the surface thereof having the same origin as the protractor. The elongated plate includes a straight edge, a semi-circular protrusion portion on the bottom surface for slidable engagement with the semi-circular recess on the rectangular plate, the elongated plate is guided to rotate relative to the rectangular plate by the slidable engagement. The top surface of the elongated plate has clips and grooves to securely fasten a compass, but will allow easy removal of the compass when needed and plurality of holes at appropriate length along the straight edge for passing through a drawing pen.
