ABSTRACT A soil temperature sensing probe is disclosed for use in various soil conditions. The probe includes an elongated thick-walled tubular casing and a replaceable thin-walled tip which carries a temperature sensor. A mechanical coupling means serves to connect the casing to the tip in co-axial relationship and provide shear strength at the connection.
