ABSTRACT There is disclosed a structural beam for concrete formwork. The beam has a front flange and a rear flange disposed in a spaced apart and parallel configuration. A first web connects the front and rear flanges. A second web is transversely connected to the first web, so that the two webs are disposed in a substantially cruciform configuration. A pair of attachment channels is each respectively disposed at the terminal ends of the second web, the channels extending the entire longitudinal length of the beam. Each of the channels is open in a direction outwardly of the first web, and each provides an abutment surface which is substantially transversely disposed to the front and rear flanges, of the beam.
