ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A guide roller for an installation for the continuous casting of steel. The roller is divided longitudinally into a plu- rality of section, each two adjacent sections being interconnected by a trunnion mounted in a support bearing. This trunnion is engag- ed in a complementary recess in each of the two adjacent roller sec- tions. A further bearing, which permits longitudinal expansion of the sections, is provided between the trunnion and one of the adja- cent sections.
