A multi-shaft reheat turbine mechnism includes multiple turbines mounted on respective compressor shafts, and catalytic reactors feeding respective ones of the turbines. Fuel is introduced into a low pressure compressor, whereby there is no need to pressurize the fuel. The compressor side of the mechanism emits a compressed air/fuel flow, portions of which are combusted in respective ones of the catalytic reactors. The air/fuel flow traveling from the compressor side to the turbine side passes through a regenerator in heat exchanging relationship with exhaust gas from a low pressure turbine.

Ce mécanisme de turbine de postcombustion à arbres multiples comporte plusieurs turbines montées sur des arbres de compression respectifs ainsi que des réacteurs catalytiques alimentant les turbines respectives. Le combustible est introduit dans un compresseur basse pression et, de la sorte, il n'est pas nécessaire de mettre ce combustible sous pression. Le coté compresseur du mécanisme émet un flux comprimé air/combustible, partiellement brûlé dans les réacteurs catalytiques respectifs. Le mélange air/combustible allant du coté compresseur au coté turbine traverse un régénérateur et il se produit un échange de chaleur avec les gaz s'échappant d'une turbine basse pression.
