A method and system for causing a multi-shot blast is disclosed and claimed. According to the method, suitable positions for detonators 14.1 to 14.8 are determined in situ. Position related data (x;y) is determined automatically for each position utilizing a GPS system and also identification cods data of each detonator. This data is transferred to a controller 16 via a data-capturing device 18. The controller establishes a blast programme including inter hole delay times calculated by taking into account the position related data, geological structure, hole depth, mass of explosive in hole etc. The controller transmits signals including delay time data to the detonators, to cause them to detonat~ according to the programme.

Méthode et système permettant de réaliser un tir comptant plusieurs coups. D'après la méthode, les emplacements appropriés des détonateurs (14,1 à 14,8) sont établis sur place. L'information concernant l'emplacement (x, y) est automatiquement établie pour chaque emplacement grâce à un système GPS et également au moyen de l'information provenant du code d'identification de chaque détonateur. Cette information est transmise à une unité de commande (16) par une unité de saisie de données (18). L'unité de commande établit un programme de tir comprenant les retards entre les trous calculés en tenant compte de l'information concernant l'emplacement, la structure géologique, la profondeur du trou, la quantité d'explosifs dans le trou, etc. L'unité de commande transmet des signaux renfermant de l'information sur les retards aux détonateurs, pour provoquer leur éclatement selon le programme.
