A multi-spool turbofan engine (6) has a plurality of circumferentially spaced poppet valves (60) with diverters (80) secured thereto for precisely controlling bleed of combustion gas aft of the high pressure turbine whereby the high pressure spool (30) operates at high idle RPM so as to power accessories and the low pressure spool (12) operates at low RPM so as to minimize noise and fuel consumption. Efficient and precise control of hot gas bleed is achieved by placement of the diverters (80) downstream of the high pressure turbine and upstream of the intermediate pressure turbine (22) in combination with poppet valves (60) to control the diversion as well as flow induced by the pressure differential between the hot gas flow between the turbines and flow in the by-pass duct.

Moteur (6) de turboréacteur à double flux multi-aube comportant une pluralité de soupapes champignon (60) espacées sur la circonférence et auxquelles sont fixés des organes de dérivation (50) destinés à réguler avec précision la purge des gaz de combustion à l'arrière de la turbine haute pression. L'aube haute pression (30) tourne à un régime très ralenti de façon à alimenter des dispositifs auxiliaires, et l'aube basse pression (12) tourne à bas régime de façon à réduire le bruit et la consommation de carburant. On régule efficacement et avec précision la purge des gaz chauds en plaçant des organes de dérivation (80) en aval de la turbine haute pression et en amont de la turbine à pression intermédiaire (22) en combinaison avec des soupapes champignon (60) afin de réguler la dérivation ainsi que le flux induit par le différentiel de pression entre le flux de gaz chaud s'écoulant entre les turbines et le flux du conduit de dérivation.
