2077457 9113127 PCTABS00007 A multi-stage reforming process is described in which a conventional reforming catalyst (12) is used upstream of an intermediate pore size crystalline silicate containing a Group VIII metal (14). The conventional catalyst is operated at typical reforming conditions and the crystalline silicate is operated at lower pressures. At least a portion of the hydrogen and substantially all of the hydrogen sulfide present is removed (18) from the penultimate stage reformate before it is used in the feed to the final stage.
