A branching device for stopping the supply of an electric current to a branched output terminal when a short circuit occurs in a branch line led out from the output terminal or in a terminal connected to the branch line. Each distributing terminal (22, 22, ...) serving as a branched output terminal is connected to a cable connecting section (3) of a transmission cable through a current passing line (26), and a positive temperature coefficient thermistor (27, 27, ...) is connected to the line (26) for each terminal (22, 22, ...).

L'invention concerne un dispositif de dérivation destiné à interrompre l'alimentation en courant électrique d'une borne de sortie dérivée lorsque survient un court-circuit dans une ligne de dérivation sortant de la borne ou dans une borne connectée à la ligne de dérivation. Chaque borne de distribution (22, 22, ...) faisant office de borne de sortie dérivée est connectée à une section (3) de raccordement de câble d'un câble de transmission par une ligne (26) de passage de courant tandis qu'une thermistance (27, 27, ...) à coefficient de température positif est connectée à la ligne (26) pour chaque borne (22, 22, ...).
