A marker (20) for a harmonic electronic article surveillance system includes three wires (21) of magnetic material arranged in parallel. The material has a magnetic hysteresis loop with a large Barkhausen discontinuity such that, upon exposure of the marker (20) to an external magnetic field whose field strength in the direction opposing the instantaneous magnetic polarization of the marker exceeds a predetermined threshold value, there results a regenerative reversal of the magnetic polarization in the material. The three wires (21) are coupled at opposite ends thereof by flux concentrating elements (22, 23) formed of a highly permeable material so that all three wires exhibit the regenerative reversal simultaneously on exposure to the above-described magnetic field. The flux concentrators have magnetic anisotropies oriented transversely relative to the length of the wires to aid in coupling the wires for simultaneous switching.

L'invention concerne un marqueur (20) pour système de surveillance électronique d'article, du type harmonique, comprenant trois fils (21) de matériau magnétique disposés en parallèle. Ce matériau a une boucle d'hystérésis magnétique présentant une importante discontinuité de Barkhausen de sorte que, si l'on expose le marqueur (20) à un champ magnétique extérieur dont l'intensité de champ dans la direction opposée à la polarisation magnétique instantanée du marqueur dépasse un seuil préétabli, on assiste à une inversion régénérative de la polarisation magnétique dans le matériau. Les trois fils (21) étant couplés aux extrémités opposées, via des concentrateurs de flux (22, 23) constitués d'un matériau hautement perméable, ils présentent l'inversion susmentionnée simultanément, à l'exposition du matériau au champ magnétique considéré. Les concentrateurs de flux ont une anisotropie magnétique à orientation transversale par rapport à la longueur des fils, de manière à favoriser le couplage des fils en vue d'une commutation simultanée.
