ABSTRACT "Multi-way Terminal Block" A rail-mounted terminal block contains an earth terminal, a "live" terminal assembly and a "neutral" terminal assembly at successive levels in the insulating housing. Screw-clamping terminals are provided for the live and neutral wires. All the wires are inserted through openings in the narrow front of the block, and the terminal clamping screws are operated by way of openings in upwardly facing narrow faces of the block. To enable the "live" terminal screw to be operated without disturbing a wire fastened in the overlying "neutral" terminal, the "live" terminal is set deeper in the insulating housing than is the "neutral" terminal, and the associated screw driver opening is behind the screw driver opening of the "neutral" terminal. A conductive member connects the "neutral" terminal to a busbar clamp and an insulating partition is provided to prevent contact between this member and a screwdriver applied to the "live" terminal screw.
