Abstract of the Disclosure A window mounted antenna for use with, for example, a car radio, is disclosed. The antenna has a central fishpole-type portion which contri- butes predominantely to the metric wave band and a frame portion running beside the edge of the window and which contributes predominantly to the medium wave band. Each portion, however, contributes in the range of 10-20% to the reception of signals having a frequency predominantly received by the other portion. This is achieved by modifying the impedance of the central portion by forming the frame portion as a flat spiral at the location where the frame and central portions join, thus providing proper matching between the antenna of the receiver feeder for both the metric band the and medium band.
