Lubricant compositions and processes for producing such lubricant compositions. More specifically, low viscosity lubricant compositions for the working surface of an extrusion die during the processing of plastics that require lubricants to render them processable, such as polyvinyl chloride, chlorinated polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride and copolymers thereof. The lubricant composition may include up to about 70% by weight of at least one metal salt while maintaining a melt viscosity low enough to process on conventional finishing equipment such as prill towers or pastillating equipment.
L'invention concerne des compositions lubrifiantes et des processus de fabrication desdites compositions lubrifiantes, plus spécifiquement, les compositions lubrifiantes de faible viscosité pour la surface de travail d'une filière d'extrusion pendant le traitement de plastiques exigeant des lubrifiants pour les rendre transformables, comme le chlorure de polyvinyle, le chlorure de polyvinyle chloré, le chlorure de polyvinylidène et les copolymères de ceux-ci. La composition lubrifiante peut contenir jusqu'à environ 70% en poids d'au moins un sel de métal tout en maintenant une viscosité de fusion suffisamment faible pour traitement sur un équipement de finition conventionnel comme des tours de granulation ou un équipement de pastillage.
